Given that two resistance R1 and R2 are connected in parallel.
So resultant resistant = 1/ R= 1/R1+1/R2
Here
R=4.8 ohms
R1= 8ohms
R2= X ohms
1/4.8 =1/8+1/X
10/48 = 8+x/8x
10(8x) =(8+x)48
80x=8x48 +48x
80x-48x=384
32x=384
x=384/32
x=12 ohms
∴ The value of X is 12ohms
So resultant resistant = 1/ R= 1/R1+1/R2
Here
R=4.8 ohms
R1= 8ohms
R2= X ohms
1/4.8 =1/8+1/X
10/48 = 8+x/8x
10(8x) =(8+x)48
80x=8x48 +48x
80x-48x=384
32x=384
x=384/32
x=12 ohms
∴ The value of X is 12ohms
