A resistor X is connected to a battery whose E.m.f is 20V and internal resistance is 2ohm .If the current of the curcuit is 4A. Find the value of X . also find the terminal voltage across the battery when the curcuit is closed.
Pls help.

Answer:

\huge\bold\pink{ANSWER :-}

==>> 20 volts batery voltage at no load

R = 10 ohms resistance at 1.8 amps >>> Volts = R * I = 18 volts across the resistor

20 volts no load - 18 volts at load = 2 volts difference.

  • ===>>> Circuit is in series so this is very simple solution. 2 volts drop across the battery at 1.8 amps R = E/I = 2/1.8 = 1.111 Ohms internal rsistance of the battery
