hello Frnd

Cost price = ₹ 175
Sales price = cost + profit

Sales price = 250

Since he allowed some discount and earns a profit of 28%

Then He must have sold it on 175 + 175×28/100

= ₹ 224

As he gave discount of certain % on sales price , which is 250 - 224 = 26

He gave discount of 26 on 250

To calculate %of discount

Let the % be = x

26 = 250 × x/100

2600 = 250X

X = 10.4 %

Hence he gave discount of 10.4%

hope it helps
