Solution :

Cost price of the goods (c.p)= Rs 33600

discount (d) = 14%

Amount Retailer has to pay ( A1 )

= c.p[ (100-d)/100]

= 33600[(100-14)/100]

= 336×86

=Rs 28896
_________________________

If the retailer paying cash ,

addition discount given by wholesaler

( d² ) = 1.5%

Now ,

The amount paid by retailer after

first discount ( A2 )

= A1[ ( 100 - d2)/100 ]

= 28896 [ ( 100 - 1.5 )/100 ]

= ( 28896 × 98.5 )/100

= Rs 28462.56
