A rhombus shaped field has green grass for 18 cows to graze. if each side of the rhombus is 30 m and its longer diagonal is 48 m, what is the area of the field?​

Answer:

Side of rhombus = 30m

Longer diagonal = 48m

Now please refer to figure

OD = 48/2 = 24m

OD^2 + OC^2 = DC^2

24^2 + OC^2 = 30^2

OC^2 = 900 - 576

OC^2 = 324

OC = 18cm

Shorter diagonal = 2*18 = 36m

Area of rhombus = Product of diagonals *1/2

= 36 * 48/2

=36*24

= 864 m^2
