A riddle for everyone- Two convicts are locked in a cell. There is an unbarred window high up in the cell. Even if they stand on top of one another or on the bed they can't reach the window to escape. Then they decide to tunnel out. However, they give up with the tunneling because it would take too long. Finally one of the convicts figures out how to escape from the cell. What is his plan?

They must have piled up the dirt on the bed which they got after tunneling and then they can stand on top of each other and escape!

prakhargupta3301: THERE WOULD NEVER BE AN UNBARRED WINDOW IN CELL. THERE WON'T BE TWO PRISONERS IN A CELL. CELLS ARE TWO SMALL. UNBARRED WINDOW IN A PRISON DOESN'T MAKES SENSE.

Given,

We are given that wo criminals are locked in a cell and there is an unbolted window high up in the cell. Even if they stand on top of one another or on the bed they can't reach the window to run away. Then they choose to make a tunnel. However, they give up with the tunneling as it would take too long. Finally, one of the convicts finds out how to escape from the cell.

To Find,

What is the plan of the convict?

Solution,

  • As the window is too high to escape that they cannot reach it even if they stand on the top of the bed, so they first decide to make a tunnel out of the cell but they dropped the plan as it would be really tiring so one of them came up with an idea.
  • His idea is to dig the tunnel and mound up the dirt to climb up to the window and then escape.

So, they decide this as to be the most logical plan in order to escape.
