A right angle triangle have angleAOB=90°, AC=BC, OA=12cm and OC=6.5 and OB is its base. Find the measure of OB.

We know that ,

midpoint of the hypotenuse of a right angle is equal distance from the vertices.

AC= AB= OC

AB=AC+CB

= 6.5+6.5

= 13 cm

OA=12cm

By the Pythagoras theorem,

AB²=AO²+OB²

13²=12²+OB²

169-144= OB²

OB²= 25

OB =√25

OB= 5cm....
