let the base be x

then the height is x+4

by Pythagoras theorem

20^2=x^2+(x+4)^2

400=x^2+x^2+16+8x

400=2x^2+16+8x

400=2(x^2+8+4x)

400/2=x^2+4x+8

200-8=x^2+4x

x^2+4x-196=0
