A right angled triangle has one of its sides to be 12cm and its hypotenuse 13cm .what is the length of the third side?.

Answer:

Since it is a right angle triangle .we use PYTHAGOREAS THEOREM for finding third side

Hypotenuse)²=( 2nd side )² + (3rd side)²

(13)² = ( 12)² + (x)²

169 = 144 + (x)²

(x)² = 169 -144

(x)² = 25

x = 5 ( Third side)
