A right angled triangle having perimeter 120 cm has its two perpendicular sides in the ratio 5 : 12.

Find the length of its side​

Right angle triangle has two perpendicular sides in ratio 5:12 therefore its sides will be triplets

i.e. 5:12:13

(or the third side, Hypotenuse = (5^2 + 12^2)^1/2

= (25+144)^1/2

= 169^1/2

=13)

Perimeter = 5x+12x+13x= 30x =120 cm

therefore x = 4

Sides are 5x = 20 cm

12x = 48 cm

13x = 52 cm
