Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

A right cicular cylinder has base radius 14 cm and heiht 21 cm.

To find :-

Find the following :

(i) Volume of the cylinder?

(ii) Curved surface area of the Cylinder ?

Solution :-

Given that :

Radius of the base of the right circular cylinder =

r = 14 cm

Height of the right circular cylinder = h = 21 cm

We know that

Volume of a right circular cylinder = πr^2h cubic units

On Substituting these values in the above formula

=> V = (22/7)×(14)^2×(21) cubic.cm

=> V = (22/7)×(14×14×21)

=> V = (1×22×14×14×21)/7

=>V = 22×14×14×3

=> V = 4312×3

=> V = 12936 cubic cm

We know that

Curved Surface Area of a Cone = 2πrh sq.units

=> CSA = 2×(22/7)×14×21 sq.cm

=> CSA = 2×22×14×21/7

=> CSA = 2×22×2×21

=> CSA = 44×42

=> CSA = 1848 sq.cm

Answer:-

I) Volume of the cone = 12936 cubic cm

ii) Curved Surface Area of the cone = 1848 sq.cm

Used formulae:-

  • Volume of a right circular Cylinder= πr^2h cubic units

  • Curved Surface Area of a Cylinder = 2πrh sq.units

Where,

  • h = height of a Cylinder

  • r = radius of a Cylinder

  • π=22/7
