A right circular cone is 8 cm high and the radius of its base is 2 cm. The cone
is melted and recast into a sphere. Determine the diameter of the sphere.

Step-by-step explanation:

volume of cone = 4πr^2h/3

put the value of radius and height

then,

it will give 32π/3

now, if cone is recasted into sphere the volume will remain the same

volume of sphere=4πr^3/3

from above ,

4πr^3/3 =32π/3

by solving we get

r^3=8

r=2

diameter of sphere will 2r

2(2)= 4
