A right circular cylinder has base radius 70 cm And height 7m. Find :
a) curved surface area of the cylinder.
b)total surface area of the cylinder.
c) volume of the cylinder .

RADIUS = 70cm = 0.7m
HEIGHT = 7m
Curved surface area of cylinder = 2pierh
= 2×22/7×0.7×7
= 2×22×0.7
= 44×0.7
= 30.8cm^2
TOTAL SURFACE AREA OF CYLINDER = 2pier(r+h)
= 2×22/7×7/10(0.7+7)
= 2×22/10(7.7)
= 44/10(7.7)
= 4.4 × 7.7
= 33.88cm^2

VOLUME OF CYLINDER = pier^2h
= 22/7 ×0.7×0.7×7
= 22×0.7×0.7
= 22×0.49
= 10.78cm^3

Given :
Radius of cylinder = r = 70 cm = 0.7 m
Height of cylinder = h = 7 m

Find the Curved surface area of cylinder :-

Curved surface area = 2πrh sq. unit
= 2 × 22/7 × 0.7 × 7 m²
= 30.8 m²

Find the total surface area of cylinder :-

Total surface area = 2πr (r + h) sq. unit
= 2 × 22/7 × 0.7 (0.7 + 7) m²
= 2 × 22/7 × 0.7 × 7.7 m²
= 33.88 m²


Find the volume of cylinder :-

Volume = πr²h cu. unit
= 22/7 × (0.7)² × 7 m³
= 10.78 m³


Hence,
a) Curved surface area of the cylinder = 30.8 m²
b) Total surface area of the cylinder = 33.88 m²
c) Volume of the cylinder = 10.78 m³
