Given : A right rectangular prism has a base with an area of 25 1/2 square feet and a volume of 153 cubic feet.

To find : The height of the prism in feet.

Solution :

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process. (our goal is to calculate the height of the given prism.

Volume of the prism :

= 25½ sq. ft

 =  \frac{25 \times 2 + 1}{2}  \:  \: sq.ft

 =  \frac{51}{2} sq.ft

Now, we know that :

Volume of a prism = Base area × Height

By, putting the available data in the above mentioned mathematical formula, we get :

153 =  \frac{51}{2}  \times height

 \frac{51}{2} \times  height = 53

height = 153 \times  \frac{2}{53}

height = 6 \: ft

(This will be considered as the final result.)

Hence, the height of the prism is 6 ft.
