a right triangle can never be an equilateral triangle .why ?

Because an equilateral triangle will have equal sides on both the sides...but in right triangle it is a must that one angle should make 90 degree

yes because in an equilateral triangle all the angle are 60° but in a right triangle one angle is already 90 so rest two are complementary i.e. their sum is 90°
