Answer:-

let the third side be x.

By using Pythagoras theorem:

Hypotenuse² = side² + side²

5² = 3² + X²

25 = 9 + X²

X² = 25 - 9

X = 16cm

X = 4cm

The third side is 4cm .

Answer:

We know that ..

let the third side be x

(hypotenuse)^2 = (side)^2 + (side)^2

5^2 = 3^2 + x^2

25 = 9 +x^2

25 - 9 = x^2

√16 = x

therefore.. x = 4

so.., third side is 4 cm.
