Given :   A right triangle with sides 3 cm, 4 cm and 5 cm is rotated the side of 3 cm to form a cone.

To find :  The volume of the cone so formed

Solution:

A right triangle with sides 3 cm, 4 cm and 5 cm is rotated the side of 3 cm to form a cone.

Hence radius of cone = 3 cm

height of cone = 4 cm

Slant height = 5 cm

Volume of cone = (1/3)πr²h

r = radius = 3 cm

h = height = 4 cm

Volume of cone = (1/3)π(3)² * 4

= 12π cm²

using π  = 3.14

= 37.7 cm²

Volume of cone =  37.7 cm²
