A right triangle with sides 6, 8, and 10 cm is revolved about the side 8cm. find the volume and CSA of solid so formed.

A right triangle revolved about side 8cm. So,
h=8cm
r=6cm
l=10cm
Volume of cone=(1/3)πr^2h
                          =(1/3)·(22/7)·6·6·8
By dividing and multiplying,
                          =(22/7)·2·6·8
                          =(2112/7)
                          =301.71 cm^3
                          =302 cm^3        [approximately]
CSA of cone=πrl
                     =(22/7)·6·10
By multiplying,
                     =(1320/7)
                     =188.57cm^2
                     =189cm^2          [approximately]
