Given

Height= 12 m

Breadth= 3 m

Length= 4 m

The volume of a triangular pyramid is given by the formula

Volume= 1/3 x A x H

Where A is the area of the base, that is, length x breadth, and H refers to the height of the pyramid. The volume of a cuboid is A x H, therefore, from the formula, it is clear that the volume of a cuboid can be equally divided into three parts, each of which, is a triangular pyramid. Hence the volume of a cuboid is divided by 3, to find the volume of each triangular pyramid.

Therefore,

Volume= 1/3 x 3 x 4 x 12 cu.m

            = 48 cu. m

Answer: The volume of the right trangular pyramid is 48 cu. m
