A ring of 0.3 kg and radius 0.1and asolid cylinder of mass0.4kg and same radius are given same kinetic energy and released simultaneously on a flat surface such that they begin to roll as soon as they are released towards a wall which is ame distance from ring and cylinder if the coefficient of friction is negligible which of the two will reach the wall first

Moment of inertia of Ring=
mr^2
=0.3 x 0.1 x 0.1
= 0.003
Moment of inertia of cylinder =
1/2 x m x r^2
= 0.5 x 0.4 x 0.1 x 0.1
= 0.002
Hence because of the less moment of inertia the cylinder is easy to rotate and will reach the wall first.
