The initial position of the center of  mass of system {ring + insect}

is supposed at a distance × from the center of ring.

then,

x= ma/M +m

Now, the net external force on the system is zero

Hence, the center of mass will remain stationary

Hence, the center of the ring will move in a circle of radius= ma/M +m

and  The insect will move in a circle of radius i.e

= Ma/M +m.
