A ringing alarm clock is placed in vacuum. Why will you not be able to hear its ticking sound​

In vaccum there is no gas therefore we are not able to hear the ticking sound

and we know that sound needs a medium(solid or liquid or gas) to travel.

Vaccum is that place,where is present like air or oxygen and gravity.So that is the reason that a ringing alarm clock when placed in vaccum,there is no sound to hear for our ear.
