a river is flowing at 2m s a man is sailing at a velocity 10m s with respect to river in a direction perpendicular to the river if the width of the angel.

If the width of the river is 400m, then how far from the directly opposite to starting point and at time taken to cross the river = (distance / speed) = 400/10 = 40 s.
