Let the speed of the boat in still water be x km/hr.
speed in upstream = x - 4 km/hr
and , speed in downstream = x + 4 km/hr.
given => x+4 = 3(x-4)
=> 2x = 16
=> x = 8 km/hr.... (Ans.)
