A river is 3m deep and 40 m wide is flowing at the speed of 2.5 km/h. How

much water will fall into the sea in a minute ?​

Here, Area of river = depth × width

=3×40=120m²

amount of water that falls into the sea ⇒ area of river × flow rate

⇒120m² ×2.5 hr/km

⇒120× (60)min/ 2.5 ×1000m³

⇒5000 min/ m³

∴5000m³ of water falls into the sea permin.
