Question :-A road roller covers 11 km. In covering this distance it makes 5000 revolutions. Find the radius of the roller.

➻ Let the radius of the road roller be r cm.

➙ Distance covered by road roller in 1 revolution = 2πr

➙Distance covered by rood roller in 5000 revolution = 5000 × 2πr

Given :-

Distance covered by road roller in 5000 revolution = 11 km

5000 \:  \times  \: 2 \:  =  \:  \:  \frac{22}{7}  \times r \:  =  \: 11km \:  =  \: 1000m

r \:  =  \:  \frac{11000 \times 7}{5000 \times 44}

r \:  =  \: 0.35m

So, r :- 35 cm
