Answer:

Area covered by road roller in 200 revolutions is 14784 m².

Given:

A road roller is of radius 2.4 m and length 4.9 m.

To Find:

Find area levelled by road roller in 200 revolutions.

Solution:

We know that,

Area covered = curved surface × No. of revolutions

firstly, finding curved surface area :-

CSA = 2πrh ...(CSA of circle)

= 2 × 22/7 × 2.4 × 4.9

= 2 × 22/7 × 12/5 × 49/10

= 2 × 22 × 12/5 × 7/10

= 22 × 12/5 × 7/5

= 1848/25

= 73.92

Now,

Area covered = curved surface × No. of revolutions

= 73.92 × 200

= 14784 m²

Answer:

A} 14784 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Radius = 2.4m

Height = 4.9m

To Find :

Area covered by road roller in 200 revolutions.

Formula Used :

Area covered = CSA × No. of Revolutions.

CSA = 2πrh

Calculations :

CSA = 2πrh

CSA = 2×\sf\dfrac{22}{7}×2.4×4.9

CSA = 73.92m²

Hence,

Area covered = 73.92 ×200

Area covered = 14784.00m²

Hence, Option (A) is correct.
