Answer:

  • Area leveled in 500 revolutions = 94,200 m².
  • Cost of repairing road = Rs. 70,65,000.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Length of road roller = 50 m
  • Diameter of road roller = 120 cm = 1.2 m
  • Radius of road roller = 1.2/2 = 0.6 m
  • Rate of repairing the road = Rs. 75 per m²

To Find:

  • How many m² of area leveled road in 500 revolutions.
  • Find the cost of repairing of road.

Formula used:

  • Curved surface area of circle = 2πrh

Now,

⇒ Area leveled in one revolution = 2πrh

⇒ Area leveled in one revolution = 2 × 3.14 × 0.6 × 50

⇒ Area leveled in one revolution = 188.4 m²

Now,

⇒ Area leveled in 500 revolutions = 188.4 × 500

⇒ Area leveled in 500 revolutions = 94,200 m²

Hence, Area leveled in 500 revolutions = 94,200 m².

Now,

⇒ Cost of repairing the road = Rs. 75 per m².

⇒ Cost of repairing the road of 94,200 m² = 75 × 94, 200

⇒ Cost of repairing the road of 94,200 m² = Rs. 70,65,000.

Hence, cost of repairing road = Rs. 70,65,000.
