Solution -
No. of revolutions by the road roller
= 750 revolutions
According to Question,
Area of road = Curved surface area of road roller × No. of revolutions
Dimensions of the roller -
Diameter = 84 cm
Radius = 84/2 = 42 cm
Length = Height = 100 cm
∴ Curved Surface Area of road roller
= 2πrh
= [2 × 22/7 × 42 × 100] cm²
= [2 × 22 × 6 × 100] cm²
= 26,400 cm²
∴ Area of road
= [26,400 × 750] cm²
= 19,800,000 cm²
= 1,980 m²
∴ The area of road is 1,980 meters
