s=ut+1/2at^2
=1/2(10)(60)^2
=18000m
=18km

Naddu4u: no it isn't the correct answer
lavnish123: it is...
Naddu4u: they have given me the options a)18km b)36km c)72
lavnish123: 18000m=18km
Naddu4u: sorry dude
Naddu4u: 36 is the correct ans but i just want to know the method
lavnish123: ohh okay

Height reached in 1 min =( 10 x 60 x 60)÷2
=18000m
velocity after 1 min =√2gh = √2x10x18000
=√360000 =600m/s
so, u=600, v=0, a=-10, h=?
by Newton's 3rd law
0 = 360000 -2×10×h
h=18000m
so , max altitude = 18000 +18000=36 km

Naddu4u: heyy how we are getting the acceleration (-10)
Naddu4u: please explain evrything clearly
lavnish123: that is gravitt
lavnish123: gravity
