A rocket is in the form of a right circular cylinder closed at the lower and in the surrounded by a cone with the same radius as that of the cylinder diameter and height of the cylinder are 6 cm and 12 CM respectively the silent height of the conical portion is 5 centimetre then find the total surface area and volume of the rocket

Step-by-step explanation:

tsa of cylindrical portion=2πrh

2π×6/2×12

72π(you can also take the approx value as 22/7×72)

tsa of conical portion=πrl

π×6/2×5

15π

so total surface area of the rocket is (72π+15π)

88π

for volume we have,

volume of cylinder=πr^h

π×3×3×12

108π

similarly

volume of cone=1/3πr^2h

we have got the value of πr^2h=108π

on putting it in the volume of cone,we get

1/3×108π=36π

so total volume of rocket=108π+36π

144π
