The height achieved after 35 seconds is :

35 × 20 = 700m

From then it experiences a free fall.

It has an initial speed of 20 which reduces to 0

The height reached when the free fall is acting on it is :

V² = U² - 2gs

g = 10

V = 0

U = 20

0 = 400 - 20S

20s = 400

S = 400/20

S = 20

Total height achieved = 700 + 20 = 720m
