ANSWERS

THE PERIMETER OF THE RHOMBUS IS 20CM

it's one diagonal is 6 CM

now therefore its side is =20/4=5cm

now the diagonal divides the rhombus into two congruent triangle .....

so the area of the rhombus will be equal to the twice of the area of the each triangle.

now the area of the rhombus is

 =2 \times   \sqrt{8(8 - 5) {}^{2} (8 - 6)}  \\  =  2 \sqrt{8 \times 3 \times 3 \times 2}  \\  = 2 \times 3 \times 2 \times 2 \\  = 24 \:  \: cm {}^{2}

here the formula is used

area \:  =  \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

where,s=half of perimeter.of the triangle
