Given :-

length of the diagonal of the rhombus = d1 = 6cm

length of the other diagonal of the rhombus = d2 = ?

area of the rhombus = 20cm²

formula to find the area of a rhombus is 1/2 × d1 × d2

so we can write,

➡ 1/2 × d1 × d2 = 20cm²

➡ 1/2 × 6 × d2 = 20cm²

➡ 3 × d2 = 20cm²

➡ d2 = 20/3

➡ d2 = 6.66cm (approximately)

hence, the Length of the other diagonal of the rhombus is 6.66cm

Answer :

The other diagonal ≈ 6.67cm.

Step-by-step explanation :

Given that :

  • Length of the diagonal of the rhombus = d_1= 6cm
  • Area of the rhombus = 20cm²
  • Length of the other diagonal of the rhombus = d_2= ?

To Find :

The length of the other diagonal d_2 of the rhombus.

Solution :

We know that :

\boxed{\sf \dfrac{1}{2} \times d_1 \times d_2}}

Put the values :

\tt \implies \dfrac{1}{2} \times d_1 \times d_2 = 20cm^2\\\\\implies \dfrac{1}{2} \times 6 \times d_2 = 20cm^2\\\\\implies 3 \times d_2 = 20cm^2\\\\\implies d_2 = \dfrac{20}{3}\\\\\implies d_2 = 6.66cm\quad (approximately)

Hence,

The length of other diagonal ≈ 6.67cm.

Extra Information :

Parallelogram is a two-dimensional quadrilateral.

It has four has four sides that intersect at four points.

All angles are right, if one angle is right.

Parallelograms' diagonals  bisect each other.

It's consecutive angles are supplementary.

There are 3 types of parallelogram :

  • Rectangle.
  • Rhombus.
  • Square.
