Solution:

The no. of rafters by which the roof is supported = 7

∴ The total length of 7 rafters = $\frac{13}{2} \times 7 = \frac{91}{2}\:ft$

Now,

If the cost of 1 ft long rafter = $ 0.70

Then,

The cost of $\frac{91}{2} \:ft$ long rafters = $ 0.70/ft × $\frac{91}{2} \:ft$ = $ 31.85

Thus, the cost of these rafters is → $ 31.85.
