750 cm wide and 11.2 m long carpet which costs 10 per sq. metre. Also, find the
area which is not carpeted.​

Given:
Length of room = 12 m
Width of room = 9m

Length of carpet = 11.2m
Width of carpet = 750cm = 7.5 m

So,
Area of room = L X B
=> 12 x 9 m^2
=> 108 m^2

Area of carpet = L x B
=> 11.2 x 7.5
=> 84 m^2

Cost of the carpet =
=> 84 x 10
=> ₹ 840

• Area that is not carpeted =
Area of room - Area of carpet
=> ( 108 - 84) m^2
=> 24 m^2
