breath of room = 12m

breath of verandah = 3m

We know that,

Area of rectangle = length ×  breadth

Area of the outer rectangle = 19 × 81

                                              = 1539m²

Area of the inner rectangle = 15 × 12

                                             = 180 m²

Required area = (1539 – 180)

                        = 1359 m²
