a room 6 m long and 4 m wide needs 1000 tiles for its floor.how many tiles will be needed for a hall 12 m long and 8m wide

breadth = 4m
Area of the room = l × b
= 6m × 4m
= 20sq.m
Area of one = 400m/1000
= 0.4m
now , length = 12m
breadth = 8m
therefore , area of the room = l × b
= 12m × 8m
= 96m
no. of tiles needed = 96m/0.4m
= 240tiles
Thus no. of tiles needed is 240
