☆Question :-

A room is 10 metre long and 6 metre broad. Find the cost of carpeting its floor with a carpet of width 60 cm  and rate Rs. 2.37 per metre.

☆ANSWER :-

Given :

☆ Length = 10 metre

☆ Breadth = 6 metre

☆ Width of the carpet = 60 centimetre

☆ Rate of the carpet per metre = Rs. 2. 37

\huge{\boxed{\bf{Area = length \:x\:breadth\:m^2}}}}

\huge{\boxed{\bf{Area\: of \:the \:floor = 10 \:x \:6 \:m^2}}}}}

\huge{\boxed{\bf{Area = 60 \: m^2}}}

So we must need 60 m^2 carpet for carpeting the floor.

Width of the carpet = 60 cm = 0.6 m.

So lenth of the carpet required ,

Area = length x breadth

60 m^2 = Length x 0.6

\implies\bf\dfrac{60}{0.6}\bf{\:= length\:required}

\implies\bf{Length\:required= 100\:m}

\implies\bf{Total\:cost = Rs.2.37 \:x\:60\: m^2}

= Rs. 142. 2
