Given :

☆ Length = 10 metre

☆ Breadth = 6 metre

☆ Width of the carpet = 60 centimetre

☆ Rate of the carpet per metre = Rs. 2. 37

$\huge{\boxed{\bf{Area = length \:x\:breadth\:m^2}}}}$

$\huge{\boxed{\bf{Area\: of \:the \:floor = 10 \:x \:6 \:m^2}}}}}$

$\huge{\boxed{\bf{Area = 60 \: m^2}}}$

So we must need 60 m^2 carpet for carpeting the floor.

Width of the carpet = 60 cm = 0.6 m.

So lenth of the carpet required ,

Area = length x breadth

60 m^2 = Length x 0.6

$\implies\bf\dfrac{60}{0.6}\bf{\:= length\:required}$  

$\implies\bf{Length\:required= 100\:m}$

$\implies\bf{Total\:cost = Rs.2.37 \:x\:60\: m^2}$

= Rs. 142. 2
