Area of 4 walls of the room = 2(lb + bh + hl)

=2(10×8+8×5+5×10)m^2.

=2(80+40+50)m^2

=2 × 170 m^2

=340m^2

Given :

A  room is 10m×8m×5m.

To Find:

find the area of its 4 walls and the floor

Solution:

Length of room = 10 m

Breadth of room = 8 m

Height of room = 5 m

Area of 4 walls=2(l+b)h=2(10+8)(5)=180 sq.m.

Area of floor =Length \times Breadth = 10 \times 8 = 80 sq.m.

Area of 4 walls+area of floor = 180+80=260 sq.m.

Hence The area of its 4 walls and the floor is 260 sq.m.
