A room is 12.5 m long and 8 m wide. A square carpet of side 8 m is laid on its floor. Find the5. How many envelopes can be envelope requires a piece of paper of size 18 cm by 12 cm?

Answer :-

✰ 36 sq.m. of area of the floor which is not carpeted

Length of room = 12.5 m

Breadth of room = 8 m

Area of room = Length \times Breadth

= 12.5 \times 8

= 100m^2

Length×Breadth=12.5×8

=100m^2

We are given that . A square carpet of side 8 M is laid on is floor

Area of square carpet = Side^2

= 8^2

= 64 m^2

Side^2 =8^2

=64m^2

The area of the floor which is not carpeted = 100 sq.m. - 64 sq.m.

=36 sq.m.

Hence 36 sq.m. of area of the floor which is not carpeted
