=12×10
=120m
=12000cm^2
area of tile= l×b
=10×12
=120cm^2
Tiles required = area of room/area of tile
=12000/120
=100tiles
=12×10

well tiles are not told that were they are to be fitted then by default we will find the. no. of tiles for the floor
