It is given that, a carpet is laid on the floor leaving 50cm of the room
therefore, area of the room =length×breadth
=12m × 8m
=96m²
Now, Area of the carpet
=Area of the room - 50cm
=96 - 0.5
=95.5m²
the cost of carpeting per m²= Rs 8
So, the cost of carpeting 95.5m²= Rs (95.5 × 8)
=Rs 764
