Area of the floor = lb = 13.6 ×6.4 =87.04 m²

Area of the square tiles = 80 cm = 0.8 m = 0.8² = 0.64 m²

Tiles required = 87.04 / 0.64 = 8704 /64 = 136

tiles required = 136

Dear Student,

● Answer -

136 tiles

● Explanation -

# Given -

l = 13.6 m

b = 6.4 m

s = 80 cm = 0.8 m

# Solution -

Total surface area of floor of the room is -

Surface area of floor = l × b

Surface area of floor = 13.6 × 6.4

Surface area of floor = 87.04 sq.m

Surface area of one tile is -

Surface area of 1 tile = s^2

Surface area of 1 tile = 0.8^2

Surface area of 1 tile = 0.64 sq.m

So now, no of tiles required is -

No of tiles = Surface area of floor / Surface area of one tile

No of tiles = 87.04 / 0.64

No of tiles = 136 tiles

Hence, total of 136 tiles are required page the room with square marble tiles.

Thanks dear...
