Given :

Length of room (l) = 13 m

Breadth of room (b)= 9 m

Breadth of carpet= 75 cm = 75/100= .75 m

[ 1 cm = 1/100]

Area of room = length × breadth

Area of room = 13×9 = 117 m²

Let Length of required carpet be x m

Area of carpet = x × .75= .75x m²

Area of carpet = area of room

.75x = 117

x = 117 /.75 = 11700/75= 156

Length of carpet = 156 m

Cost of carpeting 1 m = ₹ 65

Cost of carpeting 156 m = 156 × 65 = ₹ 10140

Hence, the cost of carpeting = ₹10140

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation

l = 13

b = 11

Area of room = lb

                          = 13*11

                           = 143 m²

Now

Size of carpet=65cm=0.65m

∴no. of carpet required =143m²/0.65m

= 93 m

cost of carpet = ₹6.5/m

=6.5/93m = ₹604.5

so cost of carpeting = ₹604.5
