Given:

Length of the room =14 m

Breadth of the room =12 m

Area of the room = (length × times breadth)

  =(14 × 12 )

   =168 m²

Area of the square carpet =(side)²

   =(12)²

  =144 m²

Area of the floor which is not carpeted = (Area of the room)-(Area of the carpet)

 =168-144

  =24 m²

Hence, area of the room which is not carpeted is 24 m²

Given that:-

Length of the room = 14m

Breadth of the room = 12m

To find the area of the floor,

As we know that, the formula of area is

Area  = (length × breadth)

=>(14*12)

=>168m^{2}

The square carpet is 2m,

We have the formula,

Area of square = (side)^{2}

=>(2)^{2}

=>4m^{2}

Area of the floor which is not carpeted = (Area of the room)-(Area of the carpet)

=>(168-4)m

=>164m^{2}

Hence, area of the room which is not carpeted is 164m ^{2}
