 \large{ \boxed{ \rm{ \red{As \: we \: know \: that, \: }}}} \star

 \large \rm{ \orange{Area \: of \: rectangle =  \red{length \:  \times  \: breadth}}}

 \large \sf \dashrightarrow{Area \: of \: the \: room \:  = (20 \times 18) {m}^{2}}

 \large{ \underline{ \boxed{ \rm{ \red{ = 360  \: {m}^{2}}}}}} \star

Let the breadth of the carpet be 'x' m.

\rm \dashrightarrow \purple{length \: of \: the \: carpet \times breadth \: of \: the \: carpet \:  = area \: of \: the \: room}

 \rm \red{ \dashrightarrow{length \: of \: the \: carpet  \times 1.5 = 360m}}

 \large \sf \ =  \frac{360}{1.5}

 \large{ \underline{ \boxed{ \orange{ \rm{ = 240m}}}}} \star

Cost of carpeting = Length of the carpet × cost per metre.

 \large \rm \dashrightarrow{ = 240 \times 60}

 \large{ \underline{ \boxed{ \pink{ =₹14400}}}} \star (ans)
