A room is 25 m long and 10m wide. A triangular carpet is laid at the centre with base=8m and height=12m. How much area is not carpeted?

Area of room= 25 x 10= 250m²

Area of carpet= 1/2 x 8 x 12= 48m²

area not carpeted= 250-48 = 202 m².

area of room = length× width= 10×25= 250m^²

now area of triangular carpet = 1/2 ×height ×base = 1/2×8×12= 48m^²

now area is not carpeted = 250-48= 202m^²
