A room is 4..8m long and 3.2m wide .its floor is to be constructed with square marble tiles 10×10cm.Find the number of tiles required to cover the floor and the cost of the tiles at rupees 18 per dozen.

area of room=l*b
A=480*320
A=153600cm^2

area of each tile=s^2
A=10^2
A=100cm^2

tiles required= 153600/100
=1536 tiles

total dozens of tiles=1536/12
=128 dozen

cost= 18*128
=RS.2304
