L[tex][/tex]ength of the room = 5.2 meters

width of the room = 2.0 meters

Area of the room = length * width

                             = 5.2 × 2.0

                             = 10.4 m^2

Now,

Length of square tile = H.C.F of 5.2 and 2.0 = 2 meters

∴ width of square tile = 2 meters

∴ Area of each tile = 2 × 2 = 4 m^2

∴ Required number of tiles to cover the area of room = (Area of Room÷ Area of tiles)

                                                    = (10.4 ÷ 4)

                                                    = 2.6
